    BT3100 Splitter Question

Does the splitter travel up and down with the blade height adjustment as do some of the Euorpean style riving knives or does it only move in the tilt direction?

    Thanks,
    David

The splitter travels both up and down and in the tilt direction with the blade.

A Riving Knife moves up and down and tilts with the Saw Blade.

A Splitter on the other hand is normally afixed to the Throat Plate and does NOT move with the Saw Blade.

The BT3X00 Table Saws have Riving Knives, not Splitters, so they move up and down and tilt, as a Riving Knife should.
