Porter Cable Universal Miter Saw Stand $75.60 +tax

http://www.lowes.com/pd_181828-79992...&storeId=10151, You might have to shop around, just because its not showing up at a local store doesn't mean they don't have a display or even 1 in stock, Call if you have a long drive to check or just visit your local store. I got lucky and will p/u 1 ,a display for $60 OTD from Canton, Ga, no more there but some in Alpharetta and Stone Mountain Ga. be sure to ask for a p/m to another store if they come back with the $151 price, it is a nonstock item now and seem to get good reviews

Says 65# but I haven't picked it up yet, gonna get it tomorrow, says it'll hold a planer as well which is what I got it for so when I plane down some rough lumber I can just take it into the garden area and let the chips fall where they may, I have a Ryobi stand Momma got me for X-mas a few yrs ago for my mitersaw, ya know the $75 PC 12 incher from Lowes earlier last yr., http://www.bt3central.com/showthread.php?t=55875

Much nicer than the c-man i have with folding legs.

Phrog--my miter saw, mortiser, scroll saw and PC dovetail jig are all mounted on 24" square sheets. They attach nicely, and quickly, to the c-man stand i use. Allows for vertical storage of horizontal tools!!

My local price yesterday was $189, none in stock within 50 miles. So it didn't matter.

Closest Lowes to me is 70 miles away but that's the price that I also see. Even at that price it's still not a bad deal if it's a sturdy unit. I don't particularly care for the small wheels but for usage limited to the shop they should be fine.
