    Triton Router $99 1-1/3 HP

While supplies last at Woodcraft. http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/208...ge-Router.aspx

I didn't even know they made one this size so I don't know how different it is from its bigger brother and sister (2-1/4 HP and 3-1/4 HP respectively). But it seems like a good deal. About $85 cheaper than Amazon.

I don't have one but Tritons get good reviews

Anyone have one of these? Seems like it would be a good all around router for freehand work. It mentions some features that are great for table mount, but I would think it would be underpowered for that use. My aging m12v (10 years) is getting a little sticky in the plunge feature and is a bear to use freehand because of it, despite cleanings and oiling...
I think in straight lines, but dream in curves

I don't have one but it might be a good all around router. My first router that was larger (higher amps) than a trim router was an 8.5 AMP B&D, that I bought an extra base for and made a table router. It did a remarkable job. It was single speed (variable speed wasn't out yet), and it handled most profiles, dadoes and rabbets very well. Learning feed speeds and having good bits makes a difference in performance.

            Triton began life in Oz

I have one of each - "brother" & "sister" in their own Router table
Had them for around 7 years - still going strong.

They should make MUCH more of the "above table" bit change - fantastic
            Downunder ... 1" = 25.4mm

Does the large Triton fit in the BT accessory table?

Sorry - can't answer that. Haven't had a BT for years now.

One of the other guys may be able to help.

Try dropping a PM to rayintheuk. He demos Triton around the UK and knows everything about them.
