Wooden Flashlight

My father was on Iwo Jima during WWII. He came home with a captured Japanese wooden flashlight. It seems they had a metal shortage and made the flashlights out of necessity. The only metal in the thing was the contacts. Everything else was wooden. It even has wooden threads connecting the top to the body.
