    Free Irwin Quickgrip clamps

I'm a bit surprised nobody posted this one yet, unless I missed seeing it. Anyhoo, Menard's has Irwin Quickgrips for $3 with a $3 rebate, limit 4 per customer, until this weekend. They look like about 2" capacity. Priced rite! See ad at www.menards.com , page 16 of the holiday home sale II.

It's hard to argue with free but I have a couple of those clamps and quite frankly they're pretty worthless IMO.

Agreed, they're not too sturdy. Useful for clamping a straightedge to 2xs or sheet goods, or for gluing busted toys & such.

I really like the quick grip style clamps. They're great for easy 3rd or 4th hand scenarios for me rather than for actually clamping pieces to glue-up.

That said, I must agree with sweensdv that the small ones aren't very good... Still a bargain at free (thanks for posting OP), but I'm not making a Menard's run to take advantage of the deal myself.
