    woodpeckers drawer slides

    http://www.woodpeck.com/drawerslidesbulk.html

Anyone used these before and can give an opinion?

We'll be redoing our kitchen with a lot of drawers, but this project is a couple months away. I haven't yet had a chance to do the necessary research on things we'll be needing, but if this is a good deal on some quality stuff, I might stock up in advance.

Did you notice the DC stuff 1/2 off. I got excited until I saw the shipping charges...WOW (i.e. for me, almost $11 to ship a $13 trash can separator).

Those are probably fine glides, but you might also check out Gliderite. I used them in my shop cabs and have had no problems after 2 years. Great prices, though shipping can be a bit steep (depends on where you are, Gliderite shipping for me was $20, Woodpecker was $32).

Thanks for the alternatives. At least I don't have to rush into anything and can look into this further.

Another vote for Glide Rite. And ditto on the shipping. But for me it was worse. But then again, still the cheapest prices I've found.

              Thom recommended http://www.cshardware.com/index.html

I am looking for specific item, around 14" full extension with 100lb load rating for some shallow but wide drawers. Seems above cited had best prices and selection.

Jeffrey - I have bought many items from CSH - pocket screws, hinges, and roller bearing drawer slides. High quality items at a good price. I would recommend you order a catalog or if you can't wait call them because their web page is hard to negotiate.

I appreciate the second opinion. I found what I was looking for on the site, but you are right, difficult to get around. I requested a catalog with my order.

Jeffrey - Do you mind sharing how much they charged for shipping on those slides?

                    Thanks!

I bought (20) 14" 100# Capacity Full Extension Soft Close Ball Bearing Slides. Total was $216.23. Don't see a shipping break down, however 20 @ $9.88 = $197.60 so shipping must have been $18.63. They were shipped UPS ground this afternoon.
