      heee heeee

I truly love this site. Saw the bargain alert. Went in after work this morning. Tried to get the manager to give it to me for $15. He said it would be cheaper for him to mark it down to zero and just give it to me, because of the way the system works. I thought he was being a smart ass so I smiled big and said "Okay, works for me!" He took the clearance sticker off, the cashier grinned and said "I'll deactivate it for you" and next thing you know, I have the accessory kit (minus all of the dust of course) in the back of the old Subaru!

Something about marking a clearance item down lower than the clearance price.
Whatever. He was very nice and I appreciate it.

I have had no bad experiences with HD as of yet. Hope it stays that way.

I've been looking for the accessory kit for awhile now. Probably went in my 15th Home Depot store on that mission yesterday, and finally found one. There wasn't a sticker or sign saying how much it was. I went through the self-checkout lane, and it rang up $0.01. Woo hoo!

Looks like I overpaid considering bigdaddyjohn's experience, though.

Crash2510, which Homedepot did you buy the kit at and did they have any more? I am in columbus and stopped in at the Hamilton Road store. The guy there had never heard of the saw or the kit.

Does anybody have a HD SKU for the accessory kit? I can't get anybody to answer the phone at the various HD tool departments, but maybe I can get their main operator to look it up as an SKU.
              Thanks, Dave

This thread just plain hurts. I would really, really like a miter slot table, and now there are several on their way to a landfill. Ouch.

At least they could have sent them to Cummins...

I called around to four HD's in my area (Auburn Hills & Flint, MI). I heard the same sad story.

The guy in the tool department first said, "No, we don't have them any more. You don't want to know what we did with them." Of course I had to ask, and then he said, "First we marked them down to about $20, then down to $0.01, and when they didn't sell, we threw them in the dumpster."

I could really use a Mitre Slot.
If anyone has an extra, please think of me!!! I'll pay!

I'll have to check my local stores, for $0.01 or even $20 it might be worth having a few extra things laying around.

Can someone post the SKU number.

jenielsen, I bought two at the HD in Northville a few months back and there was one left. I don't know if it's still there, but you might call. It's the HD on 7 Mile Rd and Haggerty.

Think maybe the manager had already marked mine down to .01 ? Maybe I actually got ripped off and paid more than the sale price!
