Maybe Not Such A Great Deal

It was sold as new. No one mentioned "refurbished" and I didn't think to ask. Just thought I was getting a great deal. I was bragging to a friend at the show what a hot deal I got. Still think I did okay, but thought I was getting a new one. Whining stops here. Sawdust continues.

I guess as long as you're okay with it and you're happy with the performance of the sander that's all that matters. Considering this sander has never gone on sale as far as I can remember I think you got a great deal!

I'm keeping it, but a little disillusioned and a lot less smug. I'll open the box next time before purchase.
$129 seems to be the going price at WW shows for the Ridgid, though I have not heard about having to use a rebate to get to that price.

All of the units sold at WW shows that I am aware of are reconditioned units.

The above statements are based on around 5 posts or so of people buying the unit at WW shows.
