the only thing i noticed today, was that they nationalized the Ryobi Multi-Task Laser for $9.99 and they had a nice deal on the Ridgid Compressor OL50135W, marked down to $199 (down from $300 to $249 and now 199).

other than that, i failed to notice a home theater/video sale (ie tv's), that the flyer mentioned at up to 40% off.

Since I had already bought the Ryobi laser level, nothing really jumped out at me, except they have the Husky fold-up utility knives that were previously $9 for only $4. That's cheaper than the HF knock-off that's out there. I had already bought one at the higher price, but I picked up a second even so. Figured I could keep one in the shop, one in the garage, or a tool box, or something... I wouldn't drive out there to get that deal, but if I was driving buy, I'd recomend picking one up.

        No Deal At The Depot

I was at the riverdale nj Borg and the guy who greets everyone as you come in for a HD Credit card w/10%off 1st purchase (BTW I have their 29.9% interrest card as a glue scrapper) told me that there is no announcement to the employees about the 10% freinds discount until the day of this mystery sale. He also said that most of them will be selling these cards on E Bay to buy tools at Lowes!! There were all kinds of items piled on the floor to look like a special but no sale or reduced prices. I guess as people panic shop this last week they may not know or care to pay full price.
I have a question for E Bayers What would be a resonable price for this 10% off Borg????

Last year was pretty nice as I recall...

Heard on this forum about the BT3100 on sale. Rushed down to the Borg and
picked up one for $199 and then got $50 rebate in the mail. Great deal!

A little later on, I saw the Ryobi 13 inch thickness planer on sale-either $175 or $150 and snagged one of those up as well. It was clearance just before the newer models came out.

Was going to wait for the secret Ridgid thickness planer sale but got the Ryobi instead. Glad I did since the the Ridgid never did go on sale this year.

I've also noticed very little on the forum about sales this December.

Oh, BTW, the Dewalt 735 planer actually went up in price this year by $50
they must be real confident in their product........
