    Ridgid TP1300 planer

Cummins Tools has the Ridgid planer, recon, for $248.88. Shipping is around $50. Using the discount code MCSP10 you get 10% off. The code is only valid today. So the net price comes to around $275.

People say that it is a nice planer. I just bought the Dewalt DW735 recon on Amazon for $314, another good deal that is still around.

The Ridgid planer can be hard to search for on the Cummins site, so here is the link: http://www.cumminstools.com/browse.cfm/4,1250.htm

Not sure, but the description doesn't mention and the picture doesn't show the stand. A brand new one with the stand, full warranty (vs the 1 yr recon warranty) and HD return capability would be $349-10% coupon, comes to $336 with tax. Just my opinion, but think a new one would be worth the extra $40.

Yes, I was under the impression that a new one was $399. For $40 more I would get a new one from the Borg.

Well, I bought one a couple weeks ago from Cummins (in store) and it came with the stand for the price $248.88. Does that mean yours will come with stand? I can't say. Had the manual and all parts but no box, it was off the display floor. The motor housing is stamped "refurb."

I'm extremely satisfied with the performance of the planer, personally.
