    Gotta Love It!

Stopped into HF yesterday to pick up the 1/4" air stapler # 46365, as it was on sale for $12.99 in their flyer. With the 20% off coupon, net was $10.39. Clerk couldn't get the coupon to go in the computer (said it had expired, but had no expiration date), so called the manager over and she entered her code to over ride and gave me the 20% off.

Box of 5000 staples cost almost as much as the gun ($6.99).

I thought to myself that it was interesting how HF handled the expired coupon, in light of the ongoing discussion of the HD 20% coupon elsewhere in this forum.

I thanked the clerk for getting the coupon through and commented that this was one of the reasons I keep coming back to shop at HF.

Ya, I noticed last time I was in the store that there was no expiration date on it. I wonder when they will put an end to the use of this coupon?

Jheart just be CAREFUL that coupon was not copied, transfered or altered in any way :-) We have several people on this board that are strongly opposed to the Home Depot coupon, shareholders or HD employees maybe.
Every tool you own is broken, you just don't know it yet :-)

Actually, when those coupons are e-mailed to us by HF, they HAVE an expiration date on them, but when you save the coupon as a pic file, instead of doing a screen print, it does NOT save the printed expiration date. HOWEVER, the bar code does include the date, which is why the register says it is expired (if it really is, that is). I have two HF's in town. One WILL NOT take the coupon if the register says it's expired, but the other sometimes will, depending on which manager is on duty.

What makes no sense to me is that these coupons are sent out every two weeks or so, so we're always getting another one. Why don't they just let them be good all the time? Trying to keep up with expiration dates seems like a useless exercise.
...eight, nine, TEN! Yep! Still got all my fingers!

Joe, were you startled to discover that it's actually a 1/2" crown stapler?

What are your first impressions? I'm considering adding this one to my air tool arsenal. I'm going to argue that it's for a future upholstery project. . .. yeah. . . upholstery. . . like a foot stool or something. . . .sure.

Actually I wasn't as I looked at the box and specs pretty carefully. Put it through it's paces when I got home, just to make sure it worked ok and then put it away. I don't have any pressing need to use it on right now, but have a couple of projects in the spring that I will be using it on (stairway carpeting in one of my apartment buildings).

Do a search on the forum, and you'll see a lot of satisfied users on this model. For a little over $10.00, I couldn't pass it up. I have a couple of hand staplers that are worthless on anything but the softest of woods.
