Yeah, I've seen the show's attraction diminish over time. Two of my BILs and I would go to the one in Novi, MI. Lots of fun and information. Always came home with a bunch of new tools and catalogs. Met Norm Abrams and got a turning tool sharping lesson from John Jordon there.

I have only attended one in my life - back in the late '70s in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. I still have memories of that. The closest thing to that but is only a drop in a bucket in comparison is a sale day at Grizzly. Large warehouse, lots of machines and tools, quite a few sales people, and people milling around. Not a regional woodworking show by any means, but still a bit of excitement.

The ones from the last few years were a shadow of those from the 90s and early 2000s. They seemed to be shrinking every year.

    The woodworking shows

Last year, The Woodworking Shows cancelled the last three shows of the year due to lack of interest / vendor support. As of Friday, their website is showing an error and nothing else. My brother in laws and I were regular attendees and usually traveled to and attended in one of the cities where it was warmer than Minneapolis and made a 4-5 day trip out of it.

Has anyone else attended in the last few years or are they correct that there isn't much interest anymore?
