Congratulations to you and all of Houston land for a great win! I thought of you Loring while watching the game, and especially when Alvarez hit that home run!

That was a monster home run in several ways. 450 feet straight down the center.
Not only a game winner, a series winner and a championship winner, but a statement!

It sure was! I was at the old St Louis stadium in 1965 or '66 ago and watched Willie McCovey (with the Giants) hit a low pitch swinging the bat like a golf club and hit it way out of the park. Some 20 - 30 years later I heard a commentator bring up that specific home run.

Alvarez's home run reminded me of the McCovey home run.

Last night was a great game!

Did you guys see the no-hitter in Game 4! Equally riveting to me.

I did not get to watch it, but I was keeping up with it via occasional checking in on the internet. I had a conference meeting at the time; but I kept peeking in.
