Hey! I found you guys again!

You tried to hide... Valiant effort, I must say! But, I found ya again!

So, I'm in the midst of setting up my old BT 3000, after moving to Tennessee from Iowa.

Once I get the old girl set up again (aligning the sliding miter table now; and that's loads of fun, NOT), I'll post some pix of projects since last we met.

Missed y'all, glad to be back.

It is GOOD to hear from you again! It has been a long time. Hope you enjoy E. TN.

I am going to be in Gatlinburg in a couple of weeks. Hope it warms up a tad!

'Bout 45 minutes from me! We'd sure like some warm weather, too!

Hey! Man! Glad some are still about... Though, it wouldn't surprise me if many abandoned the BT series saws... After all, our patron saint, Rod had done so last I knew...

Unfortunately Rod Kirby passed away a couple of years ago, late 2016...

              His passing was noted

Thanks for posting this. Every time I see pictures of Rod's shop or one of his many innovative jigs, I think about how he inspired me many people here to do better.

Sadly others have passed and some have just dropped off and I don't know if they are alive. Most notable recently was the passing of Lee Styron Stytooner.

              Welcome back once again.

Welcome back. Always good to have some of the old membership around. I myself dropped off for a number of years but found my way back and have been semi-regular again the last few years. Place has sure quieted down from the "glory days" but still a nice place to chat and post project info and questions.

Rod is now the patron saint of jigmakers and clean shops. He was a good "mate" for all of us. He once copied an entire book for me, the only copy (I could find)of which was in a library in OZ. It was a book on making "woodie" stationwagons from sedans... A "hot rod" book as I recall. I still have it somewhere in its own binder.

I will miss him. And toast him with some "Jack and Coke" I believe that was his drink of choice.
