    kid gloat.....

    Kind of exciting here in Durango.....

    My son just got admitted to Harvey Mudd College!

    He didn't make the cut for Cal Tech - but that doesn't seem to matter,
    anymore!

    Not sure if you guys know - or even care ---- but it's a great school that is exclusively baccalaureate ---- and intentionally scientific. One of the best places to learn in the country.

    I told my son I'm elated ---- can't wait to drive to Claremont to see the Maloof museum. He kind of stared at me with that
    "say wha?" look that teenagers can give.

        About a third of students are National Merit Scholars ---- and about 40 percent of graduates earn PhDs ---- the highest rate in the country.
