Overturned cars on I-75. Sister is a teacher in Douglas and I was giving her updates earlier. Kids in hallway.

The main event is going to come in right as all the kids are getting off the bus. Not good.

I did most of my growing up in Talladega, AL, just off I-20. They've had a LOT of flooding from this line. Building another ark may not be a bad idea.

We just had the first band pass through Montgomery. Lot of heavy rain. Figure we'll get the 2nd band in about an hour. Looks to be worse than the first one.

Maybe some pics tomorrow of the devastation, still to nasty to be out right now.

Yup.We are fine ,just some minor flooding. I actually saw the cloud that tornado developed from passing to the NW of where I live shortly before posting this post here. It smashed Adairsville with a 2 1/2 mile x 1/2 mile wide swath. Police have blocked off folks from coming in there (good idea) for now but I will go up later in the week if anyone wants some pics as I literally am just a few miles down the road. We were lucky again as last yr another tornado passed in the same area. I live just south of Cassville, Ga. between it and Cartersville tho I have a Cartersvile address to give you an idea of how close we were to it. It flattened several grocery stores and small hotels as well as a manufacturing facility. Judging from the tornadic activity in our area nowadays I am seriously considering having a concrete bunker built on out property soon as they can be had for about 3K and we have a insurance policy that goes over 350K for replacement cost associated w/natural disasters/fire,etc it would only prove to be prudent on my part even tho I am considering that this might not be the best home for us in a few more yrs as the ankle will become more arthritic and my age is not decreasing in the near future, the split foyer idea while nice still leaves 2 flights of stairs to negotiate, Thanks for asking tho, once again we got lucky and it missed us.

                      Tommy
