A 'Pleasant' Afternoon

The Republic of Texas Bike Rally in Austin is this weekend. I have to work so I won't even have the time to ride around town this year. Saturday afternoon the bikes take over the 6th st area of downtown. Some beautiful machinery to be seen. On Thursday the area Harley dealerships have Kick off parties and I try to make it to Cowboy Harley after work for a little while.

One of the local restaurants has some free snack foods. This year it was Texas Roadhouse with Frito Pie.





Always a few exceptional bikes to be seen. The graphics on this 'Glide were some of the best I have ever seen.









What got the most attention was a Trike with a trailer. I don't think I have ever seen a motorcycle with a 5th wheel before!

When I say the trike got the most attention, I was only referring to the machinery.

4 girls from Sun Bru tanning oils were there having a bike wash and selling calenders, with all the proceeds going to the Wounded Warriors Fund.



To my left is Oksana and to my right is Brittney, both in this year's calender.



When the first picture was taken, the 4th girl was walking around selling calenders. Of course I couldn't deny her the opportunity to have a picture taken with me...I'm such a nice guy!
