hey everyone. I'm back. Retired from the Marine Corps 30 June, started new job in April and just bought a new house. Putting in a laminate floor then gonna get all my tools delivered.

Welcome back and thank you for your service! From my experience of fixing the house and setting up shop... set up at least a working/rudimentary shop first! This seems to fly in the face of most people's idea of moving, but think about it... you are going to be doing some renovations on the house. You need space to work more than an area to marshal your boxes and "stuff" When the floors are done and any other messy work, then start to move your house stuff in. This way the shop always stays clean and workable and not a junk "catch all". DAMHIKT :-)

We already got all our household goods unpacked. The tools have been in storage for the last four years. I hope they didn't rust. I put up a shed to get all the outdoor stuff out of the garage. Now it got cold again. Hopefully I can finish the floor this weekend but there is a big gun show going on too.
