I say yes! I would like to say that I donated but didn't submit because of having to be working the whole time. What would be the time frame this time around?

I'd say December 15 with voting first week of January. No divisions, just places based on votes, with winners choosing their prize in order like last time.

Sounds like a plan to me. We need to drum up more than just funds mind you. Yes funding is important, but we need so much more to drum up interest in what the site is all about....

I did not vote! I think it is great to have another challenge and I would love to participate but I think moving it into the new year would generate more interest and perhaps more time to design and build a project. Just my opinion!

I too would have schedule concerns what with folks trying to cram through Christmas projects, unless the 2x6 project is uses as part of a Christmas (or whatever your Winter gifting holiday of preference is...) gift, I can see some problems here... Beginning 2012 would be better... Like Late Jan... Let folks get done with Christmas, and about a month after to get a project done...

I'm open for any suggestions. It seems we have about 300 visitors at any given time. I would like to see our challenge bigger than in the past, with 30-50 entries. Perhaps encouraging lurkers to join in. I thought before Christmas because some folks without heated shops close down in winter. Whatever works to get more entries. This also helps to make it worthwhile to our sponsors, not that I've had any complaints about that.

Think I might join in this year, I don't think any gifts are coming out of the shop this year.
I have a little blog about my shop

Oh yeah, some people need to heat their shops. That's right... I worry on the other end of the spectrum, fall through spring is my peak time... Kind of backwards from the northerners...

Timeline won't work for me, it didn't last time either Too many things going on for end of year to add this fun and interesting event.... Db was onto something with end of January, that would certainly be worthy of trying.

i'm with Dave, the end of year timeline is difficult. 1st Q 2012 is better, maybe just not in sync with fundraising (which maybe is awkward before Xmas too, for some people.)
