    HF web vs retail

Got a "coupons" e-mail this evening which included an invite to visit the "new" web site and included buttons to "print this coupon" or "buy on line". The link to the "new" web site was to the new internet only version. (The old retail version is still up.) So, if I can "print" a coupon to use at the internet only site, how in the heck do I do that? Methinks the two twains are converging.

Where did your coupons come from before? HFUSA, or something like the inside track club? (I received a new one from the HFUSA site, but not the one your talking about).

Be awful nice if those 20% coupons could be used online.

Unfortunately, I deleted the email since there was nothing of interest to me and I didn't note the sender domain or name. Since it referenced the new web site I assume it did not come from HFUSA. Found one down in my inbox from HFUSA (actually HarborFreightUSA <mktdelano@harborfreight22.com>) with "click to print" buttons and a "retail store only" disclaimer. I don't ever recall "click to print" and "buy online" buttons on the same coupon mailer.

Was it this one? This originated from
        mktdelano@harborfreight22.com.

This description seems like it applies to online purchases.

I will not buy from HF online because it takes months for the stuff to show up. I canceled a couple orders when it was getting into multiple months and haven't ordered online from them since. I rarely can exit their store without buying something but I just do not go to the website.

Eric, that's the one, but without the banner wrappers. It did refer to the "new" web site just like the one in your link.

Per cabinetman looks like you can use "retail" coupons (HFUSA is the B&M entity) at the "online store". The coupons used to say something like "good in retail stores only". So this something new (at least to me). Here is a link to an email I received on 4/29, again from HFUSA. Notice the coupons are only good "in-store".

It would be great if they could let their customers know what changes are going on, but communication has not been one of their strong suits in my experience.

I agree the online store is slow but if you don't have one close by that's all you can do.

My first thought when I saw that it was a new web site was I wonder if this is a hijacked /counterfit site / scam.
