Will the new litium 18 volt work in the older 18 volt tools and will the charger work on the litium batteries?

The batteries are interchangable in the tools. The new chargers will handle the old batteries but the older chargers will not charge the Li-Ion batteriesDon, aka Pappy,

What Pappy said. I have 2 One+ batteries and 1 Li-Ion battery. The One+ charger will not charge the Li-Ion one, but the new charger will charge all 3.David

++1.......Put away the black Nicad charger and use the new lime-green charger for ALL current Ryobi 18V batteries. My older BLUE tools seem rejuvenated by the lithium batteries and the silver color looks great with the blue tools. I do not like the lime-green color and will probably donate or sell them soon.Comment
