    Junk Yard BT3000

I stopped by the scrap yard to day to get some aluminum plate and they had a BT3000 sitting in the yard..

I tried to buy the rails and router table but the owner will only sell the whole thing.. He made me go put them back on the saw

Think it's worth my time to pick it up and part out?
SMT and fence are MIA.. Just the saw, stand, router table and blade guard

    depends what he's asking.
YOu can buy the saw, strip the parts you want or can sell, then come back and sell the rest for scrap.

A home in my neighbourhood had a BT3000 waiting for garbage collection. I asked the homeowner if I could have it. He said he was a bit too forceful with it and it stopped working, and that I could have it. Replaced belts and gave it to my friend on the other side of town. It is working wonderfully.

He is now building kitchen cabinets with a saw found in the garbage!!!

He was thinking it would $30.. It's all sold by weight.. I don't know what a BT3000 weighs.

            $30.00? Yes

You could part out what you don't need and recoup the 30 dollars.

rails alone are worth more than $30, maybe $40
              Motor $50
              Rip fence $25
              aux table $30
              SMT& fence $30

those are just the easy to remove parts, well, except the motor.

I just hope I pass the LOML "what the heck did you bring home now?" factor.

Now you're in trouble. I couldn't bear to tear apart a working BT3000 saw to steal parts from it.
