      'assess' doesn't. If you want to be less specific, they each have 2 pairs of letters though, even assess.

        oops. You are right about assess but grammar has three pairs of letters. Back to the drawing board.

            After the first letter, they are spelled forwards same as backwards

                          +1 on what tung tied said. Drop the first letter of each word, and each word is spelled the same forwards and backwards.

                          How about these sentences:

                              I thought tung tied nailed it. Move the first letter to the end of the word and turn it around and you have the original word.
