What a dumba**. Long baggy sleeves, fingers right up next to the blade and I bet no safety goggles and I Was waiting for him to stab himself with that screwdriver. I will stick to store bought coconut.

Here's a question, would a Sawstop cut a Coconut? I know you are out of luck with a hot dog.

It may not be the safest thing to do but it sure works well.

Guess it's good that I don't buy whole coconuts!

Bill, doing stupid things all his life.

He still seems to still have all his fingers, but I'll wager that is only for the time being...

Make sure if you get stranded on a deserted island that you have your table saw with you.

This video reminds of a stunt I'd rather forget. My wife and I were hosting our bi=monthly dinner club group and she decided that a Hawaiian theme was in order. She also decided that using coconuts would make a nice drinking glass for the Pina Coladas.

I cut 2" rings from a length of 3" PCV pipe to act as bases for the 12 coconuts. Cutting the coconuts was a challenge. I decide to use the 12" Makita chop saw to cut the tops off the coconuts.

              Worked like a champ!

However, it took an hour to clean all the coconut milk and starchy pulp out of every nook and cranny of the saw.

Maybe, I'll try the bandsaw next time!

The Idiot should have use the hammer on his head. That might prevent him from loosing finger's or stabbing himself. Other wise it was interesting.

That video is over a year old. His friends call him 'stumpy' now. What a moron!
This is the problem with youtube and the like: some dumb kid is going to see that, try it and lose some parts. I'm all for freedom of speech, but something like this should be pulled simply because it is dangerous.

It's one thing to be stupid and risk losing his fingers. But it's downright disgraceful that he opened the coconut on the saw top and got the milk on it. The courts should give custody of it to someone more deserving.

Extremely dumb thing to do safety-wise. Of course if he cuts a little too deep he also has coconut juice all over his saw.
