The county sheriff declared them illegal as public indecency where I grew up, and enforced it as long as he was in office. Luckily for all the testesterone overdosed boys, he made some powerful enemies and was ousted not to long after that. The scenery got 1000% better quickly!

You are right about them being back in vogue. Living in a college town, I don't mind when the wife asks me to run to the store....

How did the sheriff get away with making laws up on his own. That alone should have gotten him tossed out.
