Congrats. 44 years is something to be proud of. Some days I'm amazed my wife puts up with me after only 5. A question for all you veterans who have been at this longer than me: Do they ever give up trying to change you? I figured by now my wife would have, but I don't see any signs of her giving up.

The chief cause of failure in this life is giving up what you want most for what you want at the moment.

                      Congrats, Joe. That's awesome.

They will never stop trying to change you. But I just tell my wife that if I haven't changed yet, I'm probably not going to.

Congratulations to both of you. You've got us beat by 11 years.

As far a changes, I've heard it said that a woman marries a man hoping to change him, but a man marries a woman hoping she won't change.
