    Peanut Butter

Have you quit eating it because of the recent salmonella scare? I haven't. My wife is still buying it (she says she checked the list and we are safe) so I still eat it. But should I be worried that I haven't seen her eat any peanut butter for a week?

Thank goodness JIF peanut butter is still safe. They make it themselves and don't use generic peanut paste as filler. Loves me some PBJ sandwiches.

I grew up on it myself.
I still eat it about once a month. I make sure the jelly is fully cooked though.
If you ate it with a little mold on the bread, wouldn't that cancel out the salmonella?

Nah, I wouldn't worry about eating it because she's not. However, I might be concerned about the color change in the peanut butter and the diminishing amount of Draino under the sink!

I make my own, it takes 5 mins per week, including clean up. No salmonella outbreaks in my kitchen, no added fat or sugars but still tastes better then anything in a jar.

So instead of salmonella, you end up with lead poisoning.
