    I Like It When Problems Are Easy To Fix

    The ice maker in the freezer hasn't for several days for some reason or another. Tonight for lack of time and anything better to do I pulled the drawer out, turned the ice maker off then back on again. The drawer is now about half full of ice and it is making more.

    I wonder if they're embedding Windows CE in icemakers now.
    Don't just say no to kickback.

      At least you could set some trays outside. I almost spent sometime taking a fan apart to find out the dog pulled the plug from the wall. Now, don't that beat all.

        My Kenmore icemaker stopped working--tried all the usual stuff without success. There is a computer module that can get corrupted or can burn out. Sometimes you can "reboot"--the repair/installation manual (available online) lists how to do this. Otherwise you have to replace unit.

        I have stopped using icemaker, went back to trays. Especially since filter costs $40 + $15 shipping (!) and fridge tells me to replace every 5-6 mos...
