I had quite an experience yesterday. We drove to Seattle to have brunch with my wifes daughter and family. She is married to a Chinese doctor and have two great kids. Including his parents, whose second language is English, there were nine of us. We went to an elegant Chinese restaurant O'Asian in downtown Seattle and I had my first Dim Sum meal. What a treat, the food just kept coming and having someone at the table that spoke Chinese and could explain what everything was made it extra special.

That must have been a fun gathering. That's like Chinese smorgasbord. I should borrow your interpreter the next time I go for Chinese food. I usually stick with some kind of chow mein, or pork fried rice.

Hey Cab,
You should be embarrassed, after all the time you spent in Nam and you're still eating "Jewish" Chinese food. Must be that living in Florida that's ruined you.

Dick,
If you ever get to NYC, I'll treat you and yours to the best Dim Sum lunch, (yum cha in Cantonese). NY's Chinatown has loads of restaurants that only are opened for this meal, there's one that seats about 500 or so people, mostly Asian.
The offer is always open.

I've always been partial to duck's tongue soup, or fish head casserole.
These are REAL Cantonese dishes and I've eaten them, pretty good. Just steer clear of Sea Cucumber, its waaay too early to gross you out by telling you what it resembles taste and consistency wise.
