    Current gas prices

I just filled up my car for $3.389 per gallon. Of course there's not as much money anymore, so I'm not sure it makes much of a difference. What are you paying now?

              $3.63 for regular auto fuel.

I think the bill for avgas I'll buy in a couple of hours is going to be around $5.06.

Prediction: We'll hit a national average of $3.00 around next February, then it'll start going up again.

$3.40/gal regular unleaded. That's exactly $1.00/gal less than I was paying sometime last June.

                  That's telling me something.

Gas prices never hit $4.40 in NY (maybe about $4.20 tops), but now they're at about $3.60-$3.70.
I think they shake a pail with different numbers in it and whatever comes out is what you're paying!

Of course, the prices are only relevant to what they were before in the same location, because we all pay different state and/or city taxes. To compare Texas to NY, for instance, you would have to minus the taxes to get the real cost of the fuel itself.

There are some parts of the metro under $3 at $2.97-$2.99 now (or so say the folks on the news yesterday).

My last fill-up on Sunday was still $3.11, of course the fill-up on Saturday (before an out-state drive to a friend's bachelor party) was $3.28 so I was pretty happy even if it wasn't under $3 yet...

I'm not as concerned about price of gasoline as home heating oil--cost me $1600 total last winter.

Looks like it's up to $3.71 from $2.50 per gallon last year--apparently went up a quarter in the last week.

On Sunday morning when I filled up LOML Expedition 22.7gal. It was $3.43 at ARCO AM/PM but notice in went up to $3.49 yesterday on the way back form Woodcraft. Getting ready to make a trip to Bois/Meridian Idaho next week, Last time we went in August it was over $4 a gallon.

Current price listings on www.houstongasprices.com show the Exxon in Magnolia TX is selling regular unleaded for $2.95 a gallon. I guess they already got what they could out of us...
