Lots of tools 4 sale (plus a gloat for me)

I was at an Estate ale earlier this morning (in Alhambra, Ca) where they had garage full of woodworking tools. He was a really nice guy who was cleaning out the house for his friend or relative (forgot to ask how he knew the owner).

    Here's what I got:
    1. Home made router table with Rockler/Jessem lift - $75
Table also came with a PC 690 router and both the plunge and fixed base.
    2. Leigh D3 with CMT bits and other accessories - $100
    3. WWII - $40
    4. Board Buddies (although this is a different brand) - $5
    5. Rockler Jig-It - $2

And a bunch of other small stuff. I know no pics didn't happen.

Here is what they still had when I left and their prices as I remember (but I would check to be sure). He seemed very flexible however and I'm sure will reduce the asking price significantly.

    Inca Bandsaw -$600
8 inch Rockwell Jointer - $300 . His starting price was $500 but said he'd go $300 if I took it then. And yes 8-inch
    Rockwell Shaper - $400
    Henger scrollsaw - ??
    Unisaw - ??
    Craftsman RAS - $100
Sand Rite Horizontal spindle sander (2 spindles) - ??
    Lathe
    Tenoning jig (Rockler I think)
    Blades (1 freud)

Here's the address and email but he's kind of slow in responding sometimes so if you're close by I would just go there.

As I said the lift currently has a PC6902 attached to it. I have a PC 7518. Does anyone know if the lift will accept the 7518

I don't know the answer to your question, but nice haul. I'd be all over that 8" jointer. Actually, I think I'd ask him his price for the lot.

The jointer sounds like a great deal. Maybe the shaper, depending on the size.

                .
All the larger tools were 220 so I'm guessing it had pretty high HP (although I didn't bother looking because I knew I couldn't use it)

Totally agree. I'm hoping to get good enough to make my own one day.

Anyone know where I can get the insert plates for the lift? I called Rockler and they said they didn't carry them.

Rockler doesn't carry throat plates for their own lift? You may want to inquire of their tech department if you only asked somebody in orders. You could also go directly to JessEm. It is possible that plates from other makers (such as Woodpeckers, Bench Dog or Rousseau) could be compatible, but I couldn't say for sure...

I was surprised as well. Perhaps the guy didn't understand what I wanted to simply didn't know. I'm going to take the pic and bring it in the shop myself and see.

Can I make it myself out of mdf or phenolic if I can't find one.
