    I looked it up yesterday. It appears to be an Orange Honeysuckle. I could be wrong and my picture is actually better than any others I've found online!

        I've been backpacking in the Cascades in Oregon, most recently in July of '05, and got socked in by snow... Again previously I had been socked in by a snow storm on Mt. Graham in Arizona when I was in college.

        Any time you venture into mountain country, ALWAYS go prepared for the weather to turn very cold, and very wet on you...

        By the way, fantastic pics. Makes me miss the northwest!

            Ah, I think you are correct. I meant "trumpet vine" (not "tulip"), and that fits with one of the common names of "trumpet honeysuckle." At any rate, a neat looking plant with the way the stem grows through the middle of the leaf.
