    She Loves It!!!

The LOML and I met in the late 80's. She was the office manager of a GC I was doing work for. We became a couple in 1992 and from the beginning got into home repairs and woodworking. She loves it. We bought a condo in the mid 90's that we both worked on to remodel. We bought our present home in 1998 and have done extensive remodeling which she has been a major factor in doing the work.

Well, today is our anniversary. We got married in 2001 and have been a real team for 16 years. We also celebrate our getting together date of July 16 as another type of anniversary. I can only gloat about how she participates in doing repairs. She doesn't complain about broken nails, caulking or paint in her hair, and looks great with a hammer hanging on a tool belt. What more can I say.

A hearty 'congrats' to you both. It sounds like you have hammered out a working relationship (yea, corny!). Remember, never paint over a problem that will surface later and be worse. Keep the water on the roof of your relationship from soaking your love and extinguishing the flame. And, always work together to repair every natural disaster that life throws at you. Then, you can both claim a mutual victory and be happy for each other as well as yourselves.

Happy Anniversary CMAN! LOML and I do remodeling as a couple also. She says honey do and I do. When I see her with a hammer in her hand it makes me very nervous.

              Hey Cab,

She must be some kind of woman to put up with you all those years.

Congrats, and best of luck. We're going on 29 years and I'm still in one piece.

That's easy for you to say. You should have been a comedy writer. But, with the strike you'd be sittin' on your butt right now. Thanks for the creativity...gave me a laugh.

Congratulations. You are also a brave man. I would never allow cast iron frying pans or marble rolling pins in my home. You let your wife carry a hammer!

I hope you have many more anniversaries.

I was just thinkin'. If I had stay married to wife #1, this June would have been 40 years. Now that's a sentence (pun intended). Here's one clue for a happy longevity... let them think every good idea is theirs.

She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.
