Wow, I have to say the most of the classless part is of the Baltimore fans when Indy came to town. As Peyton put it so well, nobody currently with the organization was part of that move. I live in Indy and I agree that the records for the Baltimore Colts should have just been left in Baltimore. But the description of the Colts coming to Indy by Baltimore fans just shows how much of a hypocrite they are, after stealing the Cleavland Browns.

The players on the Colts team are some of the classiest players in the NFL. They don't talk crap, they just play the game and stay respectable on and off the field. I think the team should let the Baltimore records be identified as such, that might help let things drop. But man, it has been over 20 years ago. I wish the Baltimore fans would show some class, rather than fingers and butts, to a visiting team and look in the mirror before calling a team classless.

Irsay to Indianapolis.....Modell to Baltimore.....is there really a difference?

The only difference I can think of offhand, is that the NFL felt strongly enough about the Browns' tradition and history in Cleveland, that for the first time ever, it forbade the team owner from taking the team name to the new city.
