Amazon has started some nonsense where they let customers vote for up coming deals. Looks like this weeks winning deal is Xbox 360 Core System for $100. It has 87.4% of votes. It goes on sale 11/23/06 at 11:00 PST.

That's a steal for $100.00.. Question is how many would they have available. Might be a good gift for a nephews, nieces, or grand kids.

Remember, it's the Core system. If you're like me and want the features that come with the platinum system, you will have to spend another $240 for 20G Hard Drive, wireless remote, wireless XBL headset, HD component cables. Still saves $60 though.

I hope they continue this too. I wouldn't mind a prime membership and $100 in toys (I have an 8 month old) for $40.

Second, they have determined the X box to be the winner, however they are offering all the potential items for really good prices during the buying frenze Thursday. $100 toy certificate and 1 Year of Prime for $120 means you net $20 for Prime per year which is pretty decent IMHO!

LOL! That was a joke! Had 4 web browsers open with 5mps broadband and got shut out completely. There was a forum where people were testing official time on Amazons website . . . . over 24,000 time test posts! Thats was about a 4% chance of connecting on the Xbox deal.

yup - server overload. the site came back up after just a few minutes, but the xbox was sold out. i guess it was a matter of luck for whoever got in and claimed it.

It was about as hard as getting Eagles playoff tickets on the ticketmaster site.
You have a 1% chance and they sell out in 30-40 seconds.
