Well! I hovered my cursor over the rep marker and it appears that everyone else is "on a distinguished road"

I hovered my cursor over my rep marker, and I appear to be "on a slow road to perdition".

    Oh the agony.

    (just in case. . . )

I've been lucky enough to have been on a couple of forums (non-woodworking) where people of knowledge could disagree on certain things and remain friends. To my way of thinking, this gives rookies (like me) a chance to read differing opinions, then choose which seems best. Many times I have tried different opinions on ways of doing things, to gain knowledge or find what works best for me.

I have yet to see a post on this site where people have been looked down upon because of a lack of knowledge. To me, the ones with the best reputation are the ones who never forget there was a time when they knew nothing about a subject, but have gained knowledge, and are willing to share it. Those who know a lot, but look down on those with less knowledge rate very low in reputation to me. I haven't found the latter posting on this site.

Here is my rep system: If you post enough stupid/obnoxious things (or troll) I'm gonna add ya to my ignore list. Then I don't see your posts. If I can't do that, then I just don't bother reading your posts. If I like what you have to say, I comment as such. If I really like what you have to say then I comment and I PM ya.

Finally, my reputation of a being a lady's man hasn't followed me here. It's been such a burden.
