    GripMaster Clamping System

I'm in the process of building a fixed wall mounted bench and have made provisions of a woodworking bench vise when I realized I had purchased a GripMaster about 15 years ago and never taken it out of the box. Watching the video it's a pretty versatile system.

Anybody got any experience with this system they can share and will it substitute for a bench vise?

RonT, I picked up one of those along the way somehow myself. Don't remember when or why or how much, but there it is. Yes, it is versatile and at times very handy to have. In my shop it won't take the place of a bench vise. The bench vise is stronger, won't move, and handy because it's already mounted in place and ready to use. I use the GripMaster when the vise is already busy or I'm trying to hold a piece that doesn't "fit" well in the vise.
