Question about a jig.

In the early '90s I went to a woodworking show in Seattle and bought a jig used for clamping. it was about the size of a desktop, (the old ones with the linolium top, GI style) and consisted of a bottom, made of 3/4 MDF, a top made of the same, but with holes (about 3" dia) spaced evenly all over the top. Each hole had 4 "ears" cut out from it to accept the clamp bar. The top and bottom were attached to 2X4 or 4X4 spacers at the corners and half was along the long edges.
It was real handy, you could put a flat item on it and clamp something to it, like gluing a supporting edge onto a shelf board.
I sold it when we moved into our motor home and out of the house. Now that I am back into woodworking, I would like to get (or make) another one.
Anyone ever see or hear of one of these?

No, I guess I havn't done a good job of describing this thing I bought. It was about 3' X 5' (Yes, foot) and, when assembled was about 6" tall. The holes were spaced on about 8" centers and the clamp bar "notches formed an "X" pattern. The top was flat and sturdy, I was working out of a garden shed (about 10'x12') and the only workbench I had was an old desk I bought at the Boeing salvage yard for $5.00. With this on top of the desk, the height was almost the same as my contractor's saw table.
