    Remodel Progress Removing the Kitchen

    The kitchen was well beyond its prime. This is one of the two kitchens in the house. My grandma lived with us when the house was built and had her own suite with a galley kitchen that backed up to the wall in the first photo. The wall oven in the second photo died a few years ago so we were using the oven in the "grandma kitchen"

    The cabinets were removed and are on their way to a new home.

    This and the removal of all the crown moulding concluded the surgical part of the demolition. Just to make things interesting, we lost power for a day and removed most of the cabinets using lanterns and flashlights during a huge storm.
