I have a question I have been waiting for years to pose. How does one attach a feather board to the table or fence of a BT3? There are no T-slots in the table. On my fence, there are slots for attaching an extended or sacrificial fence, which I have done. However, a feather board seems to be a stretch unless it too is attached to a taller fence extension. Maybe I have answered my own question, but thought I would put it out there.

In the picture that Condoman44 posted, the feather board that is mounted on the SMT, is featured in the owner's manual with a detail dimensions. The fence is slotted and I suppose one could make a feather board to be mounted via the slots (top or side), or one could be clamped. I just looked at the commercially-made feather boards that I purchased from Rockler for use with my router table, and it looks like it would be easy to build some sort of mount at the top of my BT fence so I could use them there, if desired.
I did make the feather board shown in the manual (for use with the SMT), but honestly, I've never had occasion to use it.

I mounted a featherboard to the SMT. Cut the angle of the feathers to 30 degrees, turned the miter fence 30 degrees and pushed the featherboard against the miter fence and the feathers against the side of the wood being ripped.
Hold in place using the Ryobi miter clamp or lacking that just use a clamp to push the featherboard against the miter fence.
To keep the SMT from sliding and to position it so the featherboard contacts the wood just before the blade, I use another clamp to clamp the SMT to the fixed tray below, off to the left side.Last edited by LCHIEN; 07-14-2017, 03:11 PM.Loring in Katy, TX USA
If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

Thanks Condoman. Nice job executing the attachments. LCHIEN, do you have any photos? For that matter anyone else with photos of featherboard setup would be helpful, especially with the router table.Comment
