With out you soldiers, Men and Women, we would not be the great Nation that we are. Thank you for being there for us.

Rest easy, our sons and daughters. You are alive in our thoughts and in our hearts. Those who lived and are living we offer you our most profound gratitude!

There may be local ceremonies that can be attended if that's an interest. Some Army and National guard units have them planned for tomorrow. If you're near a military base, there's usually ceremonies.

To me the second picture is one of the most touching ever taken.

Riding with the PGR it is great to see the honor paid to our fallen by the airlines, but not surprising considering how many commercial pilots got their experience flying military transports. The few KIA escorts I have been able to ride the passengers, except for the escorts, were not allowed to deplane until the casket was taken out of the hold and transferred to the hearse. I'm sure there are some in the plane that complain about the delay but, hopefully there are other passengers that diplomatically advise them to shut the ^*@# up!
            Don, aka Pappy,

Fools because they have to say something.

That's an amazing picture. Thanks for posting it, Cman! It speaks volumes.

I searched and found a blog post by the photographer that describes this picture : http://blog.gettyimages.com/2010/05/...onal-cemetery/, that gives us a full context.

Btw, James Moore is famous for his war photography, and has been in the midst of various conflicts.

Thanks for researching the photo. It does tell of the grief and love.
