    Like I said before. Lose the store bought separator and build a Thien Separator. Either that or neck that 5" down with a rubber plumbing reducer and use a male / male 4" fitting, a piece of flex line, and another 4" to 4" fitting... You would be FAR better off with a Thien separator... The outlet port to the DC is in the middle of the top for starters, and the baffle almost completely eliminates scrubbing.

      How short does yours have to be? My Central Machinery DC with Thien stands about 4' 6" or so tall...
