need to convert compressor from 220 to 110

I have an old Sears 2 hp air compressor I just bought off someone. It runs great, but he had it wired 220. Originally it was 110, but he upped it to 220 a long time ago and doesn't recall how he did it.
He also added a standard household on/off switch along the line.
My circuit breaker box is on the complete opposite end of my house from where the compressor needs to be, so I really do not want to run a new line for 220. We may be moving within the next year anyway. I would rather switch it back to 110. I know the plug end needs to be changed, but what needs to be done on the other end?

the wiring diagram may be inside the cover on the motor. you will have to switch two leads to switch it to low voltage.

Yuppers, remove the cover where all the wires enter the motor housing at. There should be a label on the back of that cover with a wiring diagram.

I looked, but there is no diagram under the lid.
I probably just need to switch some wires around, but I have no idea which ones and i frown on frying myself.

The diagram is sometimes on the outside of the motor too.

Theres no wiring diagram anywhere on the compressor. That was the first thing I thought of.
I did a google search for:
              sears air compressor 106.153780
              but was no help.

              Here is what I have:
              Sears 2 HP air compressor.
              Twin cyl.
              Model # 106.153780
              150 psi max.
The compressor was made in the 1970s.
              Maybe close to 1980.

              I attached photo(s)
There are only 4 wires, 2 white and 2 black.
one of each going to plug and one of each going to motor.

              Any ideas?

the wires you are showing are for the pressure switch, they don't ahve anything to do with the motor's voltage wiring. have you peeked under the cover held on by 2 screws on the end of the motor, it is to the right of the red button.
