New Site Style ... and more.

    New Style
A new style has been added to the site in both fluid and fixed width versions. It is reminiscent of, but not the same as the old BT3Central style. The type is called SawdustZone Legacy and is now the default style for the site.

    New Patron Perks
In the next couple of weeks, there will be a new benefit for SawdustZone patrons. More on this later.

    Shopping
Rockler Woodworking and Amazon have been added to the shopping page as affiliates and we're still working on others.

    Who's Who of SawdustZone
Finally, you may have noticed recently some icons or charms by usernames. These are described below and in the FAQ.

The SawdustZone staff recognizes that this site wouldn't be possible without the patrons who provide funding as well as content and have been instrumental in keeping the lights on for all these years. To bring visibility to their generosity and dedication, we've added a hand plane charm to the username of current SawdustZone patrons as shown above.

I have grown to have a much greater appreciation for all the work that Sam did maintaining the site for a decade.

it's too bad that site didn't grab the linked pictures. I'd love to stumble across the 2005 2x6 challenge pictures again.

A lot of those links were from 3rd party sites that have gone bad, I know Pappy and I used to use Webshots before they went bad I guess it was 2 or 3 years ago. I have since gone to Google Photos.

I would think that a site that archives web pages would grab and store the images also, since the whole point of an archive is because sites go away and change. I was actually pretty amazed that you could dig into the forums and posts on the archive.
