Years ago I bought the #63256 model, based on reviews. I have used it for ratchet rebuilding and carburetors mainly and it has been good. (with simple green mostly, as that was what I had)

I wonder if it would remove resin from saw blades?

Not large enough to soak the entire blade, and I expect it would be pretty messy to try to figure out how to stand the blade on its edge in the solution and not have any of it come out when turned on (pretty much keep the lid on in use).

That was my thought, too. Unfortunately it would take a larger unit to hold the blades. This one might work with the blades in at an angle, but the teeth might eventually wear a hole in the tank.

I wasn't aware that the ultrasonic cleaner being discussed was that small, on the Marine base I last worked at they had one you could probably cleaned a jeep in! Still, would an ultrasonic cleaner ( that was large enough to handle a 12" circular saw blade ) remove resin?

I don't know, that resin chemically adhered to the blade. Mostly it has to be dissolved off. The heating action helps and the ultrasonic keeps fresh fluid working to dissolve it rather than saturating a non-moving solvent in close proximity. So I think it is going to depend on using a good resin solvent as well as the heat and vibration.
