Thanks all for the feedback. I'll keep working in this direction then. If anyone runs across any areas of the site that are particularly problematic, let us know and we'll get those updated and rolled into this style as soon as possible.

I have a busy few weeks ahead of me moving my father in law's apartment, two of my three girls home from college, and the oldest into her new apartment, near her new "big girl" job where she'll live with her new husband, when that becomes official in a couple of months.

    Thanks much,

With the cursor in a blank area do a right click and click on the bottom entry (Nosquint Site Settings) and you can change color of text and size.

That does not work with Firefox as a browser; what browser are you using?

NoSquint is an AddOn to Firefox that you gotta install : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...ddon/nosquint/

Once installed (and FF restarted) it allows you to change site specific fonts and colors. Pretty nifty if you need it.

I found the high-contrast settings pretty good for now. (Found under Settings (top right) ---> General Settings (left bar, under My Account) ---> Forum Skin (bottom of page, under Miscellaneous )

                Tom,
To change font size in Chrome, you need to select the "Customize and Control Google Chrome" button (upper right, just under the Close (x) button - it looks like 3 horizontal lines. Once selected, look for the "zoom" controls toward the middle of the list. I believe Chrome will remember your font selection for each site you visit.

It is also available via the popup menu on the bottom left corner of every page in the footer bar.

While I really am logged into the site, it looks confusing.... still showing the login window on the Home page, as if I am NOT logged in. Yesterday, I kept trying to login, actually attempting to do so three or four times, and didn't realize until I logged out that I had apparently been logged in the entire time.

I guess the point is that nothing visually changes (that I notice anyway) once the login is successful. The light blue/gray doesn't change and the login window at the top of the page still remains, asking for the name and password. Only when you select a thread to read, do you get a "Welcome" in the top title bar.

Similarly, there is not a discernible difference between threads that are old and those that have been read. Subsequently, it's difficult to notice what's new and what isn't.

                      Try the following in order:
                      1. Make sure you are using www.bt3central.com vs bt3central.com or any of the other addresses that will get you here. They all point to the same location but only www.bt3central.com works correctly
                      2. Click image for larger version

Name:	login.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	118.4 KB
ID:	787215 Login using the upper right login area, not the one in the center of the page. They use different code for some reason an one works better than the other. The area is highlighted in red in the attached image.
                      3. Clear your browser cookies and try again.

You should see unread threads in a larger bold font with a circle icon as the first character of the title. Read posts are in a smaller non-bold font and have no icon in the thread title.

                        That worked perfectly.

Question on the new site's SEARCH: I was looking for a (possible) reply I'd posted a while back with pictures of a storage idea. When I entered "mpc" into the Advanced Search "User name:" field I got threads I'd created... but none of my replies in other threads. Searching for specific words returned hundreds of hits... I couldn't narrow those down to just the replies I created. Am I missing something? I even tried searching for "mpc" as a keyword... nothing. Apparently there isn't a way to search all threads/replies for specific words - at least I couldn't find a way. In my profile Settings area, clicking "Subscriptions" shows me all threads I've ever replied too... but I still can't search them for a specific word.

If you click on the posts checkbox in the advanced search, it will search for posts by username as well as threads.
