    Which clamps to bring?

Got a dilemma. I don't know which clamps I should bring with me. Love the parallel clamps but they're heavy. The F style clamps are heavy, too. I'm leaning towards the aluminum bar clamps--maybe 6 or 8 of the best ones. The pipe clamps would be good since the heads are compact but I don't know if I can buy 1/2" threaded pipe overseas--the rest of the world being metric and all.

I'm already bringing some shorter Irwin quick clamps and spring clamps with me.

    What do you think?

I would do the same. Quick clamps and some aluminum bar clamps.

I packed 8 of the Al bar clamps and just sold the Harbor Freight remaining bar clamps and F style clamps on Craigslist--$40 and I threw in the clamp racks. The racks were headed to the dump anyway. The guy also picked out some old jigs I was tossing, too.

Don't think I'd take the pipe clamps. They are hands-down the best clamps around --- but they're very heavy ----- and pipes can raise eyebrows.

The Bar clamps have decent strength.
