ID:	829235I have a special request from a repeat customer of my Tiny Tables for one made from deadhead cypress. I made 4-5 of these tables over the last couple of years and they sold before this customer got one! That's a good thing. This special sinker cypress isn't very easy to come by and requires a day trip to drive sound to find some. On my way into town for some reason I decided to stop at my only local source of wood, and dang if he hadn't picked up a sinker log from someone that had pulled it out of the bottom of the river and didn't know what to do with. The tree was aprox 36 dia, and the boards looked really good. Pricey but good . $8.50 a bf, but I'll be able to get 2 tabletops an several aprons from it.

Pretty piece of wood. FWIW many hardwoods in my area retail for $8.50/bf and higher. Part of the reason I'm not doing much these days.
