    Stoppers WIP

    Just rough turned and glued up some blanks that will become cork bottle stoppers when they grow up.

      Looks good Jon, nice selection of woods you've got there. Do you prefer the expanding glue over traditional wood glue or epoxy for this application? And is that because of the dowels?

        You are right on, in this application with the dowels and the slight variations in the tightness of the holes, it seemed like gorilla glue was the best option. Epoxy would have been overkill especially as it is a wood to wood bond. If I didnt happen to have so gorilla glue on hand the wood glue would probably be just fine.

        These were all finished on Saturday but I haven't had a chance to take any pics yet.
