What is good place to buy cabinet grade plywood?

    Hello,

I started to build entertainment center around my big TV and use 3/4" red oak plywood from Home Depot. It is OK for me for current project, but I would like find similar material for other projects in different finish. I figured that HD or Lowes carry only red oak and birch finished plywood, but I would like to get other choices. If anybody could advise on place where I can buy plywood like 4'x8' sheets in small quantities, not truck loads. I leave in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Anything close to my area?

    Thanks.

I don't live near you but have you checked out www.woodfinder.com. You can do a search for suppliers in your area.

    Good Luck

I don't know where you are located in relation to Baltimore but I use this company here in Charleston and they have a location in Baltimore. Quality ply and hardwood.

You will be shocked at the prices for quality plywood, though. Last time I was there the cheapest stuff they had was $85 per sheet.

In NY, thats cheap, I spent $115,00 a year ago for maple ply and $135 for cherry.

Great stock, but expensive, although its stuff you wond find at the big box stores or small local yards.
